Our Community
Greenbank State School, was established in 1893 and provides education from Prep to Year 7 to an enrolment of 950 students. In the locality is an army training area and a semi-rural atmosphere pervades through mainly acreage development. Nevertheless, dense urban sprawl is encroaching on its boundaries as the school is located in one of the fastest growing residential areas in Queensland.
The school serves a community residing primarily on semi rural acreage. However, the catchment area has seen unprecedented growth and expansion over the last three years and predictions are that this should be sustained in the foreseeable future.
Our school presents as a vibrant learning community where all are encouraged to participate and contribute. Both the School Council and the Parents and Citizens Association link closely with the school and assume appropriate strategic and operational responsibilities. Our focus is to grow our school as an integral feature of the Greenbank Community and to develop our students as confident, articulate, responsible, resilient and active citizens fully aware of the positive contributions they can make to a sustainable world, both now and in the future.
